Influence of Far Infrared TiO2 and Multi-Walled Carbon Nanotubes Coatings on the Performance of a Hot Water Heater

This study selects titanium dioxide (TiO2) and multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) as far-infrared materials (FIRMs), further adds water-based acrylic coatings to prepare (FIRCs). FIRCs are uniformly coated on #304 stainless steel sheets make the test samples, which then installed between shell insulation material of hot water heater measure influences various performance heater. The research results show no significant difference in heating rate or heat with without coating. However, uniformity temperatures samples is significantly improved FIRCs. Considering that temperature will inhibit heater, TiO2-FIRC should provide better improvement when applied this study. application large-scale heaters a high aspect ratio effectively improve quality supply future.
